Set up your center step by step
The recommended order to get your center ready to take bookings.
When you start with Momento, it pays to set things up in a certain order. Each step uses what you created in the one before, so following this list means you won't hit gaps halfway through.
The recommended order
- Center information. Name, logo, time zone and currency. You'll find it in Settings › Center settings. See Center information.
- Billing. Your company's tax details and invoice series. See Set up billing.
- Resources. The rooms or spaces where you run your classes. See Rooms and resources.
- Price tiers and memberships. What you sell: session packs, monthly fees, single sessions… See Create a membership.
- Services. What your clients book (classes, appointments), linked to the memberships that give access. See Create a service.
- Professionals. Your team and what each person can do in the panel. See Add a professional.
- Schedule. Your typical week of classes. When it's ready, publish it. See Create a schedule.
- Payments. Connect in-app payments and, if you collect through the bank, remittances. See Turn on in-app payments.
- Clients. Import your list or let them sign up from the app. See Import clients.
- App. Sign-up form, legal texts and download links. See Client sign-up form.
Important: don't publish the schedule until your services are linked to their memberships. If you do, clients will see the classes but won't be able to book.
Run a test before you open
Before you announce the app to your clients, create a test client and check everything works:
- Sell them a membership from their client file.
- Book them into a class from the calendar.
- Send them a notification.
If it all works, you're ready. Remember to flag that client so they don't count in your statistics (see How do I keep a test client out of the figures?).
